From Paris: A6 motorway towards Lyon, then take the A7 "Autoroute du Soleil" towards Avignon and Salon-de-Provence. Follow Nice / Aix-en-Provence and take the A 8 motorway "La Proven'ale".
Take the 'Aix Jas de Bouffan' exit, then follow the "centre ville" signs to the city centre. Carry on straight ahead, on Boulevard de Galice. At the end of Cours des Minimes, at the roundabout, go straight onto Boulevard de la R'publique, then take the second street on the left, Rue des Chartreux.

Its 17th and 18th century mansions give great charm to the town, as does the majestic Cours Mirabeau with its archway of plane trees, the H'tel de Forbin and the Italian style fa'ade of the H'tel Maurel-de-Pont'v's.
The Mazarin quarter with the H'tel de Caumont, the Arbaud Museum (collection of antique pottery), the Granet Museum (fine art and archaeology), located in the former Palais de Malte.
Other sites are the Law Courts, the Natural History Museum and the Town Hall. Boulegon Street (Paul C'zanne), the Old Aix Museum (history, folk art and traditions of Aix and the surrounding area), the old Archbishop's Palace and the Tapestry Museum.
The fountains in Aix and the Sextius thermal baths contribute to the local decor.
